Company Background: PJ Plant Hire is operated and owned by PJ, and originally began in 1985 as a small venture, hiring JCB’s and Excavators to local builders. It did not take long for the company to earn a reputation within the area for being reliable and dependable and always providing fully experienced operators with their machines

The Companys good reputation soon built up a vast customer bank in the early days, most of which are still with us today and refuse to go anywhere else. From the hiring out of excavators, the business swiftly grew, as we began to realise the necessary requirements needed to co-ordinate the running of a site and began offering our customers a full service, whereby we not only provided excavators, but catered for many other site requirements which most of our customers took advantage of.

We soon became well-known in the area, had established solid contacts in the industry and could negotiate sensible rates for small plant, aggregates, muck-away, labourers, machine operators and readymixed concrete. Now nearly all of our customers only make one call to us for everything, leaving them with the peace of mind to run their site efficiently and uninterrupted, knowing that what was once their problem is now ours!


	PJ Plant, although much larger now than when it was originally started, the level of professionalism and service has not altered in any way. Our customers always come first and nothing is ever too much trouble for us. If you need something, call us, if we haven’t got what you want then we’ll find it for you at a reasonable cost!

The company became a ‘Limited’ company in March 1996 and runs its own fleet of ‘Grab and Tipper’ Lorries, together with Plant for hire and is able to offer a complete groundworks and demolition service to all of its customers.
